Artifauna Australian Magpie. I sketched this friendly young Maggie that would visit us each day. Australian Magpies are so beautiful, cheeky and smart. They have the most gorgeous musical bird song, can mimic human speech and recognize people, even after years apart. They are protective of their young and can be known to swoop during breeding season. A group of Magpies is called a Tribe.
