Also known as Bush Turkeys, the males rake up a huge area of mulch into a giant mound to entice females to lay their eggs, which he then meticulously adds or removes mulch to regulate the temperature of the mound to be perfect for the eggs incubation. After all this care, chicks hatch to be instantly self sufficient.
Foragaging on seeds, insects and fruit, and they can fly short bursts but usually cruise around on the ground. Brush Turkeys have a red head and males have a yellow wattle like a necklace which is brighter and bigger when trying to attract females
