Who doesnt love a Kookaburra! Laughing kookaburras are the largest member of the Kingfisher family, and their bird call sounds like a laugh. Living in family groups they huddle close together on a branch at night. I love hearing their family evening and morning songs, also known as the ‘Bushmans clock’, as they mark their territory boundaries. They are carnivours and bash larger prey against a branch before eating it. A group of Kookaburras is called a riot.
